The short answer
Choose Wool-Ease Thick & Quick if you want the stitches to show and the fabric to hold its shape - it is a plied wool-acrylic blend with real stitch definition and it machine dries. Choose Bernat Blanket if you want maximum softness and do not care about the stitch pattern, because chenille obscures it completely. The two are the same weight category and almost the same yardage, and they make fabrics with nothing in common.
Two different constructions
Both are category 6 super bulky. That is where the similarity ends, because they are built differently.
Bernat Blanket is chenille: a core with short polyester pile standing out from it, like a caterpillar. Wool-Ease Thick & Quick is a conventional plied yarn in 80% acrylic and 20% wool. Chenille is soft because of the pile; a plied yarn is defined because the plies hold an edge.

Worming, and why chenille gets returned
Chenille's characteristic failure is worming: loops of the pile working their way out of the fabric and standing proud in little curls. It happens with use and washing, it is very hard to reverse, and it is the single commonest complaint about blanket yarn.
- A tighter fabric worms less. Go down a hook or needle size from the band figure.
- Tight stitch patterns help - single crochet worms less than double.
- It is a property of the construction, not a defect in the ball.
- A plied yarn cannot worm at all, because there is no pile to work loose. That is Wool-Ease Thick & Quick's structural advantage.
Warmth and weight

- Neither drapes. Super bulky is a structural weight, which is why neither belongs in a garment.
Care, which again is the practical decider
Wool-Ease Thick & Quick machine washes and machine dries despite the wool content, because the 80% acrylic carries the washability. Bernat Blanket specifies a delicate wash and a gentle tumble.
