What this site is

Worsted & Weave is an information site about knitting and crochet materials and tools. It is free to read, requires no account, and is funded by affiliate commission as set out in the affiliate disclosure.

Accuracy

We compile specifications from manufacturers' published documentation and reproduce published standards without adjustment, and each source is linked so you can check it. We take that seriously, and we cannot guarantee it.

• Specifications change. Manufacturers reformulate products, alter set contents and update care instructions.
• Products are discontinued without notice.
• Prices change constantly. Prices shown here come from a live layer with a last-checked date and may have moved by the time you click.
• We may misread a source. If you find an error, tell us and we will fix it.

Before buying, check the manufacturer's current specification and the retailer's current price and availability. Those are authoritative; this site is a compilation.

No testing claim

We have not tested, handled, worn, washed or worn out any product mentioned on this site. Everything here is compiled from published specifications, published standards and reported experience attributed to its source. That is stated in full on how we pick, and it is the basis on which every recommendation here should be read.

Some pages touch on health-adjacent subjects - skin sensitivity, hand and joint pain, materials safety. Those pages set out what published research documents and where it is inconclusive.
